Complimentary Classes

Complimentary classes are offered to our clients on a regular basis. All clients who have not birthed at Allen Birthing Center before are encouraged to attend. There is no fee for these classes.

• BRINGING HOME BABY
• BREASTFEEDING

Once you have birthed, you still have a home at Allen Birthing Center. A POSTPARTUM SUPPORT GROUP is held on the third Friday of each month from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the birth center. Moms gather for companionship, support, and time to trade tips with one another.

One of our former clients, Carole Hayes, has also developed a website for moms to form a network of internet support with one another. Please feel free to visit the blog.

Homecomings are periodically held at the birth center. Notice of these events are sent out via e-mail. Clients are encouraged to submit their e-mail addresses to the birth center if they wish to be added to the invitation list.

Bradley Childbirth Classes

BRADLEY CHILDBIRTH CLASSES are also offered at Allen Birthing Center. Stacy Hutchins (Birthing Naturally) leads this comprehensive preparation. Stacy not only is an enthusiastic, experienced, and knowledgeable educator, but also has birthed in both hospital and birth center environments. An added bonus to these sessions is that Stacy's husband, Dereck, co-teaches the coaching process! Husbands can work with an experienced Bradley Dad who has coached his wife through both hospital and birth center labors. These classes are open to the public -- enrollees may be birthing anywhere.
