  Safe, Comforting Environment: Our Facility
Allen Birthing Center is located in the healthcare corridor of Allen, east of Highway 75 and south of Highway 121. Two major hospitals are within minutes of the birth center. A variety of other healthcare services are also located within a two-mile radius of the birth center. This convenient location is only a few minutes drive from Dallas, McKinney, or Plano. The birth center occupies the "Bacus-Brown House," one of Allen's original residences built in 1908. As one of the anchor structures in the Allen Historical Business District, its old-fashioned charm complements all the safety features you expect from today's modern birth centers. Serenity and privacy are the setting's hallmarks. Free of distractions, the center offers an ideal birthing milieu. Prenatal visits are conducted in our informal visitation room. You and your family are welcome to make yourselves at home in our comfortable community area and kitchen. Take a walk, enjoy the front porch swing, or relax in the gazebo located in our private gardens. During labor and birth you'll feel at home in the center's separate, secluded birthing section. This intimate part of the birth center features two birthing suites, each with its own private bath. In addition to a full array of labor support aids, each birthing suite also has its own birthing tub. Allen Birthing Center is licensed by the Texas Department of Health. The birth center also holds membership in the American Association of Birth Centers (ABBC).   |
