Rebecca Burpo, CNM
With more than 20 years of experience in women’s health care, Rebecca (Becky) is currently wearing multiple hats as the administrator, the clinical director, and a staff Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) at Allen Birthing Center. With a broad-range of experience that includes participation in over 4,000 births at homes, birth centers, and hospitals, she has “seen it all”. Becky’s educational preparation is equally strong. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in health care administration, she also holds post-graduate certification in midwifery. Never one to rest, she is currently pursuing studies for a doctor of naturopathy degree (N.D.) as well as training to become a Flow Practitioner. While she has received many professional recognitions throughout her career, Becky considers herself most privileged to have been a recipient of the Kitty Ernst Award from the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). Each year the ACNM presents the Kitty Ernst Award to one CNM in the nation who has demonstrated excellence and innovative, creative endeavors within her first ten years of midwifery practice. Becky feels honored to have been a “Kitty” winner. |
